Amsterdam paints are a good student grade. Liquitex and Golden brands are a higher quality & price.
Buy the deepest colors & quality you can afford! Buy 1 extra tube of white and titanium buff if you buy a set!
PAINT COLORS: Check your set colors against list below…..if your set is missing prussian blue, sap green, cad yellow deep, naples yellow, alizarin crimson, cerulean….BUY IT!!! Colors with stars are necessary & create better palettes. Bring your favorites!

Painting on Canvas Ideas: Michaels has inexpensive smaller sizes in sets, & coated hardboards: compact & economic in all sizes. Bring favorite canvases to class.
Brushes sizes: 1″& 3/4″& 1/2″&1/4″ angled Or Flats . Royal & Langnickle or Snap- great prices & at Guiry’s in Boulder or Michaels. Bring Riggers & Tiny Brushes for details, cheap chip brushes Palette knives: med & larger with pointy ends. Mark Making: Street Stick chalk, pastels, Sharpie paint pens. Bring paper towels, apron, rags.
Michaels has great prices on canvases (& occasional killer sales) so buy your canvases here. Guiry’s canvases usually more expensive, BUT always has competitive paint prices and helpful staff.
